WOW is the best word to describe this magnificent 1974 BMW 2002Tii. In 2011 the car was imported to Ireland and underwent a cost no object restoration with Classic Carreras in Limerick. This work is documented in the history folder as well as in a six page article in the April 2012 edition of Irish Vintage Scene. The quality of workmanship, methodology, materials and parts used was clearly of the highest standard because 11 years later the car looks like it was restored yesterday.
The 2002Tii is one of the most desirable classic BMW's but finding a good one can be difficult. This car was first registered in the UK on January 22 1974, it comes with the original owners folder, manual, service book, warranty card etc. Since its full restoration in 2011 and 2012 it's had just two keepers both of whom have treated the car with the respect it deserves.
The exterior Taiga Green Metallic paintwork is flawless, has a deep shine and shows no age related marks. All metal trim is perfect, lights are full of colour and all glass would appear to be original. The wheels have been refurbished and fitted with period correct Vredestein Sprint tyres.
The engine bay is beautiful and absolutely everything gleams. The motor starts, idles and drives exactly as it should and the Kugelfischer injection system has been serviced. The responsive power delivery, precise gear change tight suspension make this a joy to hustle around quiet country roads.
The interior has been fully trimmed and is "as new". All trim is in remarkably good condition and the dashboard shows no evidence of splitting or sun damage. The underside of this BMW is factory fresh and it's likely it's never seen a wet road.
