This 1989 Porsche 911 / 964 was restored and modified in the style of the “narrow body” F Series and the project was completed in 2016. The works included a full body restoration, an engine rebuild, new suspension all round, 964 RS brakes, 993 six speed gear box with light weight fly wheel, a titanium exhaust system and much more.
The exterior is painted in Nardo Grey and this contrasts perfectly with the black trim. The car sits on custom made 9 inch wide front wheels and 11 inch rears which give the car an incredible and purposeful stance and the rear “duck tail” spoiler raises and lowers automatically to aid downforce.
The interior has been soundproofed and new grey carpets bound in black leather have been fitted. The seats, door cards, dashboard and half roll cage are trimmed in black leather with a grey basket weave details. The audio system has been upgraded to a Porsche PCCM head unit and matching speakers.
This is a true driver's car and from the moment you start the engine, it’s clear this 911 wants to be “driven”. The six speed 993 gearbox is a great upgrade that gives you a choice of ratios that make fast twisty back roads or long motorways an absolute pleasure. The handling is precise and taught, but never uncomfortable and the stopping power is unquestionable thanks to the RS brakes.
Cars as good as this don’t come to market very often.
