This 1991 G-Wagen W463 is in amazing condition and was upgraded to AMG specification 2 years ago. This work included a full repaint in black, fitting extended wheel arches, projector headlights, daylight running lights, LED tail lights, new mirrors with integrated indicators and AMG alloy wheels. It now looks as good as the new €250,000 models on the road.

 

It was delivered new to Japan in 1991 and for that reason it is essentially rust free, particularly when compared to vehicles from the UK. The underside and unseen areas that usually hide corrosion are in perfect condition. The interior shows very little wear for its age and the seat upholstery and carpets are in excellent condition. There are two fold down seats in the boot that make this car a 7 or even 9 seater.

 

It drives much better than you might expect from a 30 year old 4x4. The 3 litre engine is powerful enough for modern traffic and thanks to the bigger wheels and tyres the ride quality is really comfortable with very little body roll on country roads. It will be serviced this week, fitted with new Pirelli tyres and sold with a 2 year NCT.
